3-D Printing: Prosthetic Upper Arm
Aug. - Dec. 2022
About the Prosthetic Team
My freshman year (Fall 2022), I was a part of this engineering team within Generational Relief in Prosthetics, a student-run prosthetic design club at the University of Florida. My team made an upper arm prosthetic (elbow, forearm, wrist, and hand components) through sizing and customizing template parts with CAD (Blender). The parts were then 3-D printed, assembled, and tested. The customizations made to the prosthetic were to attempt to provide the most needed function, support, and fit for our recipient (he and his mom visited us in the design lab!).

I wish I'd gotten more photos, but this is part of our team with the arm at one of the final meetings before we delivered it to the recipient.
